Looking for some BBQ and waterfront views? This place has it! After a fun snow day with the family there is nothing like stopping by for some BBQ and a calm winter day. The place was relatively quiet and chill this specific day. The owners had one of their pets hanging out in the indoor patio and it was a nice little touch to give this place a family touch. The BBQ options were plentiful and tasted pretty good but just wish they had bigger portions or a sampler platter. Staff was great and food came quick. Nice little place to check out if you found your self on the north side of Lake Tahoe. Much chiller than anyplace in South Lake Tahoe!
Came to Moe's on a weekend in August and had no trouble getting a table. Waiter was super helpful in explaining all the menu options. I was able to split the wings and pulled pork platter with a friend. The wings were delicious, and the pulled pork was pretty good too. Mac and cheese and beans were tasty sides. Collard greens were the only negative of the meal, they were so salty they were almost inedible. Otherwise great food I'd recommend to anyone!
We decided to visit in the middle of the week so it wouldn't be as busy. It was a bit hard to find at first but found parking not too far away. It was a windy day but sat outside since we had our dog although we were told he could come inside the outer covered area. At first there was a boat being cleaned next door which was running the engine so a bit noisy. There was only the bartender serving as well as taking orders. We had to wait a bit to order but we ordered some beer from Three Sheets Brewery. The beer was good. I ordered the chicken sandwich with potato salad and banana pudding for dessert. Hubby ordered a meat platter with Mac n cheese and Sweet Potatoes. The food was good but took a while to get.

Tender, great portion size, marinated and seasoned perfectly. Reasonably priced! Even comes with a free cornbread and some pickles for acidity. + Side: Mud Pie (4/5) Very very sweet. A pretty good dessert, just too sweet for me. Has the consistency of chocolate pudding with some oreos mashed in. + Side: Jambalaya (4/5) I thought this could have been more flavorful. The rice was kind of dry. + Side: Pork Chili (5/5) Very delicious! Pork was really good and the whole side was flavorful.
WHERE DO ALL THE LOCALS GO? In a destination city like Tahoe City? Well, you go to Moe's Original Bar B Que..... So dog gone local is this place. So laid back is this place. So fun (at nights you can jump on the stage to sing) is this place. We stopped in here as one of our stops to graze our way through the day with food and beverage. The weather was great so why no stop in to see the Lake and its Marina? You would have a great view of the South side of the lake from Moe's. You would have decent BBQ. You would have a laid back atmosphere. You would have decent beverages. You would have FUN (by the way, our group's middle name is FUN)
